Artnovion Launches New Product - Sub Trap

Artnovion - Leader in Low Frequency Solutions with TPDA New Technology

TPDA or Tuneable Pistonic Diaphragmatic Membrane is a patented Artnovion system designed to meet the need for accurate low frequency absorption. TDPA is the only system on the market that can be efficiently tuned to operate at frequencies from 40 Hz.

TPDA is a new approach to low-frequency absorption, it consists of a calibration mass suspended on an elastic membrane. Tuning a traditional membrane system to a very low frequency requires a compromise in mass and volume, which leads to very large and low efficient products. Our method separates the mass and the elastic support into separate elements, preserving the range of motion (with low activation energy) and guarantees true piston motion.

An additional advantage of this method is that the membrane mass can be easily modified, allowing you to calibrate the resonant frequency of the bass trap. Thus, our product can be effectively tuned for the resonant frequencies of any room.

TPDA technology is used in the newly updated range of Artnovion bass traps. The angular bass trap is designed for frequencies from 60Hz to 80Hz. For frequencies from 40Hz to 60Hz, Sub Trap series models are used, which are a stand-alone product. Sub Trap is divided into three independent closed volumes in a prismatic configuration, which allows each membrane to be exposed to maximum pressure zones in the room. The bass trap has an excellent “acoustic core” filled with a porous absorber. This configuration is designed to provide the best performance.

The TPDA technology used in ArtNovion Corner Bass Traps and Sub Trap provides performance that can only be achieved with about 2 meter absorbers made from traditional fiberglass or foam, which is an unrivaled indicator.
